Shareholder Bill Luyties obtained a "take nothing" summary judgment for a structural engineer who had been sued by the general contractor for over $3 million dollars for cost of repair and delay damages on a project for a major university located in Galveston County, Texas.  The allegations against the structural engineer included claims of professional negligence in the review and approval of shop drawings submitted by the general contractor and its subcontractor related to the fabrication and installation of roof joists.
